Come celebrate the 5-year anniversary of Heidi's Village on April 5
While you're here, adopt or foster a dog or cat, sign up to volunteer, or donate to this worthy animal shelter
Looking for a way to make a genuine and fulfilling impact on the world? Come celebrate the five-year anniversary of Heidi’s Village from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 5, and get to know this one-of-a-kind animal shelter that treats dogs and cats with humanity, love and space to roam.
Located on a five-acre campus at 600 N. 40th St. in northeast Phoenix, Heidi’s Village includes six separate buildings to house dogs, a kitten area, and a cat adoption area.
All of the dogs’ buildings are equipped with indoor-outdoor kennels, as well as play areas on the corners of each building. There’s even a splash pad for the dogs, walking paths, and enrichment activities like paw painting.
The facility also includes a fully equipped veterinary clinic, a grooming room, a training room, and meet-and-greet spaces for adoptions.
If you come to the five-year anniversary, you can tour the facility with a cold drink from the lemonade and cold brew stand. You’ll meet a ton of great dogs and cats available for adoption or fostering. You can also sign up to volunteer at the facility, or you can make an always-needed donation.
Greg and Aidan Dunaway, Leah Merrall and I visited Heidi’s Village last week to highlight six dogs looking for their forever home.
Here they are, along with links to their adoption pages:
