Newly elected Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Tom Galvin is forming an advisory committee of political and business leaders dedicated to bringing the NHL back to the Phoenix metro area.
my recommendation: get Shane Doan to head up a legitimate ownership group (must be billionaire(s)) that is passionate about HOCKEY (not real estate investment, not friends' bragging rights, not investment flip). Call Mario Lemieux and copy what he did in Pittsburgh!
Not sure you can replicate PIT. Pre-cal era and He was handed Flower, Malkin and Sid and had to come back and play to keep the team afloat. They tried to get coaches to quit so they didn’t have to pay them by not approving expenses for office supplies and other such things (source: coach’s agency)
Thanks for the update Craig! That's encouraging news! How can we keep on them to make sure they stay on top of it? Would like to hang out somewhere for a pint and catch up with you. ✌️
When I adopted the Coyotes and they, me in 2012, I was burnt out trying to take care of my wife and realized it wouldn’t be long until I lost her AND the only other thing in this world that I ever cared about… long distance running.
Now, that I am semi-crippled from 105,000 miles and racing all over the world ( it’s really strange when your legs die ha) reading your announcement today and coming back to your site is like coming home from college in 78-82 or the Xmas I snuck home to surprise my family from the military in 75.
I mean, I’m looking forward to the New Balance Indoor games and Parker Valby in the women’s 3000 on February 2nd AND IM REALLY looking forward to the Fischer,Wolfe,Ingabritzen, EKU African dude, Kerr matchup in the men’s 3000 at the Millrose Games on February 8th…. But I don’t belong there anymore!
I can barely walk!
I need a home again.
Like the one I had with you and the Coyotes from 2011-2022….sure we had our disagreements!
Family always does
Five for Howling threw me out of the house…… but so did my ole man in June 1974.
I've already been all over the place with this since you broke it earlier today, Craig - I just wanted to say I was very relieved (...surprised?...) my account was still active after.... 4 years? 3 years?
from the pages of yesteryear, the scourge of the Canadian Media rises from the ashes....welcome back and thanks for always doing what you do best. Will be watching for the Coyotes 2.0 coming to a NEW arena near you. Baby steps I know, but its a start...looking forward to your articles as this weaves its way back...
Glorious news even if it only feels like a small token. 2025 feels better already knowing that Craig has kept us in his email distribution list! I'm so very looking forward to the dialog/discussions of team naming... keep old name or start with a new name for the team.
Love this update! Thank you for staying on top of this and giving us some hope :D Looking forward to seeing where you land next #CraigMorganArmy
Thanks, Adam!

At this point, I'm not sure. I hope to speak to Tom at length about it.
Great to see you in my inbox, Craig!
Great to hear from you, Chris!
Thanks for being on top of this, CM! Good news, especially if it goes somewhere.
We shall see, my friend.
Thanks, Craig! I'll take whatever grains of hope for Coyotes 2.0 that I can. This sounds like a good first step, with many, many more to come.
There is always hope.

Hey, look who's here, sharing the best news as usual. Are you going out on your own subscription wise again?
No, but I will be writing more in this space. It will be free content.
More info on that soon.
Great to see you back Craig. Was so nice to see your email pop up.
Great update!! Only way we get a team back is with a new arena, and the only to get a new arena is with Maricopa county on board!!

Thanks for continuing coverage, Craig!
This a great first step still more work to do
